Ok, so I am not Prince, but I couldn’t resist using the title to his infamous song “Purple Rain” for this post.  

If you haven’t made the connection yet, this look is dripping in purple–no accident, as you may have imagined.  Since I bought these Stuart Weitzman stilettos, I have been making a point of incorporating purple into many of my looks.  Starting with the stilettos to the dress and the lastly to the hat: I’m absolutely loving the purple coordinates.

In addition to the purple theme, this look emulates how to dress during the turning of the seasons.  I have been looking for ways to wear my summer clothes into the fall and topping this Club Monaco day dress with a leather jacket was just the style trick (take note!).  So before it starts to get too cold, try wearing some of your favorite summer pieces with a fall twist: a jacket, blazer, hat, etc.  See some suggestions below!
