Oh 90’s nostalgia.  When I put this dress on, it felt very Narciso Rodriguez via Calvin Klein in the 90’s. When I was shooting this look, I had an image, in my mind, of cobblestones, stilettos and a simple silk dress–very Carolyn Bessete-Kennedy circa 1997.  She was known for her understated–yet impeccable taste in clothes (and men!).  (Although the men may not have been so understated.)  If you recall on her wedding day, to John F. Kennedy Junior, she wore the most elegant and classic Calvin Klein dress designed by Narciso Rodriguez.  Her style left an indelible mark on the fashion world and the fact that I can still connect with it to this day, truly defines an icon.

The scene was set for this shoot: a simple look, the wind blowing, my hair up in a loose bun, the cobblestones on Bond Street; it was perfect.  This look has a very moody feel to it and the overcast sky added to that effect.  The Christian Louboutin stilettos added a feminine touch.
