Skirt and Sweater Outfit for Fall or Spring

A skirt and sweater outfit for fall or spring is a must have! This look where I am twirling and strolling in my coveted pleated Reiss skirt gives me continued faith in my ability to style a fall outfit.

The minute I laid eyes on this skirt, I knew I’d be in for a sartorial treat.

Midi-skirts have been making quite a comeback in the last year or so and every season there seems to be another new and exciting version of the style to try.  You may remember, this past spring, I donned a quilted, white midi-skirt by Topshop. The skirt in this post is quite the contrast to the white one: with a vibrant color and pattern (which is truly what struck me about the skirt).

Fall is a great time to incorporate the skirt and sweater outfit for fall. Midi-skirts will always be a good staple for your wardrobe, because you can style it with a sweater, chunky or light and it isn’t too cold to show off a little leg.

I chose this sporty sweater by J. Crew, which offers a stylistic contrast to the feminine style of the skirt.  (It’s always fun to mix styles that wouldn’t normally go together–high/low, sporty/girly, fancy/casual.)  This look is perfect for work, twirling and strolling on a Sunday, or just meeting friends out and about.  I love its effortlessness and chicness.  I paired the look with a simple pair of Jean-Michel Cazabat stilettos, gold bangles, and a clutch.  Not to mention, I picked up a green juice from Organic Avenue on my stroll!   I’ll be honest, I’m not a huge green juice gal (if you follow me on Instagram, you’ll see I love coffee) but a green juice is a nice change up once in awhile.  Try a “Sweet Greens” from Organic Avenue if you’re looking for a healthy juice!
