One Fashion Blogger, Two Parties

Ok so I double booked parties, but what’s a fashion blogger to do?  So I made sure to make a fashionable appearance at both:

First stop: the Joie boutique on Fillmore street!  Joie recently opened their own boutique in SF which gives shoppers the option to buy their clothes outside of the department stores.  Personally, I am a fan of having the boutique as an option, because they carry different pieces than the department stores and it’s a better assortment and curation of items.

The boutique hosted a “Girl’s Night Out,” featuring SF based fashion blogger Julia Engel of Gal Meets Glam who was super sweet and fun to chat with-she gave all kinds of advice on how to have a successful blog and the best ways to communicate with your readers and find new and on trend items.  The event was a lot of fun and she was a doll to talk to…thanks Julia!  I feel a collaboration coming on: Gal meets Stilettos?

I’m wearing: a Joie top (similar piece here), Reiss shorts (similar here) and seen in my previous post, BeGood Mata necklace, and Lanvin stilettos (similar ones here and here).

Some of Joie's black and white fall pieces.   Some of Joie’s black and white fall pieces. The chic crowd at Joie on Fillmore: I spy Krystal Bick of fashion blog: This Time Tomorrow (recently featured in this month's Vanity Fair), in the right hand corner. Next stop, BeGood, whose fair trade and eco-friendly items have been going strong for a year now. This party had a casual vibe and offered cake, snacks, and of course booze!  I got to chat with owners Marc Spera and Dean Ramadan about how they came to start their boutique and of course it’s just as you would have guessed. Age old story: boy works in finance, boy isn’t satisfied in finance, boy breaks out and starts his own eco-friendly-boutique-on-trendy-Union-Street-in-SF-with-his-best-friend-from-college, boys are now fulfilling their entrepreneurial dreams and now are celebrating one year in business! Ok, so the last part isn’t so ‘age old,’ but these guys have what it takes! Happy One Year Anniversary Marc and Dean!

Love the pics- I wish I could have made it out to the Joie event with everyone. It’s tough making it to events after work that are out in the city. Hopefully I can join next time!
