Denim Darlings

I’m happy to announce I’m getting back together with. . . Denim!

A few years ago I had had it with Denim: either I didn’t like the fit, the color, or the look. It just seemed like something never worked for me; frankly it felt like Denim and I were not a match.

(Yes, I am personifying Denim.)

However, in the past few months, I have made a concerted effort to get to know Denim, again, and it looks like we are back on! With my new found appreciation for Denim, I have been able to find some awesome pieces for myself and want to pass on my findings to others!  Denim is truly a great addition to your wardrobe because it’s easy to accessorize: just add stilettos and a blazer to dress them up or keep them casual with a loose fitting blouse and flats.

Above, I have featured some of my favorite Denim Darlings.  Explanations from left to right:

AG: Adriano Goldschmied:  The Legging Ankle Jean (in white) is a summer staple (and I even wear it beyond summer, see here).   The Stilt Cigarette Jean is a great pair to throw on to run errands or even for a dinner with friends; the ripped design gives it some dimension. I have this pair and it is really comfy and cute!

J Brand: The light blue Mid-Rise Skinny is, in some ways, a fancier pair of jeans. They can really dress up an outfit because of their color and I love them for that (I also have these and use them for many occasions).  The Rail Mid-Rise Skinny is great and grey is a good color to build an outfit around.

Rag & Bone:  I never completely gave up on Rag & Bone jeans (at least their Plush Leggings), I have always found their jeans to fit super well and have great style!  The Cheshire High-Rise Skinny is the kind of jean that really can go with anything. The juxtaposition of the fade in the front and the dark wash in the back gives a sophisticated look.

Hope this jean collage helps you pick some new pairs for fall!
