Do you already know what you’re wearing for NYE this year?  I’m contemplating a few pieces-but here’s a look at a new dress I just got last week during Barney’s Sale!

After attending fashion school in NYC, it’s hard for me to not take a second look at a dress with such exquisite draping and depth.  Just knowing the process makes me love this dress even more; its conceptual design is what really drew me to it.  I also don’t often wear navy, but absolutely love the way it compliments my skin-so all these elements pulled together made it the perfect dress for the holiday time and perhaps even New Year’s Eve.  The belt is a separate piece and really pulls the outfit together. Without the belt, the dress is still gorgeous but is completely different: its more of a shift dress, adding a belt and cinching the waist brings in a classical element; which stays true to my style.

When I first got the dress I wasn’t sure which stilettos I would pair it with, but once I went home and looked through my collection-I had a moment of clarity.  The pink adds the perfect pop to this outfit and the combination of navy and pink is an unexpected twist.  Not to mention these shoes are so divine that every time I wear them I feel fancy and free! I added my black Zara clutch and some simple jewels to round out the look.  This dress is sold out but below I have similar suggestions for great cocktail dress and New Year’s Eve pieces.
