The good people at HBO have released another Season 3 trailer for Girls which premieres on January 12th, 2014.  This little gem has seriously already made my Christmas season and will probably make yours as well.  It has been way too long since the angsty and pithy character of Hannah Horvath has graced us with her presence. (Thank goodness we had the absolutely brilliant SNL skit to re-watch for the last few months, just to remind us how amazing and ridiculous the Girls’ story lines and characters are.) Last time we saw Hannah she was having a mini break down (à la Britney Spears during her head shaving moment circa 2007).  Luckily (I think?), Hannah was saved by her sometimes psycho boyfriend Adam, who got on the subway shirtless, in the middle of winter, whilst face-timing with Hannah-stranger things have happened, right? Right.  As the audience we are lead to infer that these two get back together and as this trailer seems to suggest, I believe they do.  It is also a glimpse of a more light-hearted season where Hannah’s hair looks combed, she may have some kind of important job that involves a meeting with J. Crew’s creative director: Jenna Lyons and she has returned to the coffee shop to soak up some wisdom from Ray (he does seem so wise).  Will Hannah have another weekend rendezvous with the devilishly attractive Brooklyn man?  We shall see.  

It also looks like Marnie, Shoshanna, and Jessa are up to their own antics. Marnie is still on her quest for the perfect boyfriend. (The actor who played her love interest decided that Girls wasn’t up his creative alley anymore and abruptly quit as Season 3 was starting to film; jokes on him-just saying.)  Shoshanna is reveling in her new single life in Manhattan and seems to still have her quippy one liners, that have become an indelible part of her character.  I hope she still texts with emojis. Jessa is really the wild card still. She’s pretty crazy, even more than Hannah and she can’t really be trusted. I’m curious as to what direction her character will take this season.

Either way this sure is a holiday treat and only makes the impending new year that much more exciting!   Check out the video below and let me know what you think!
