What to Wear in Miami (Day and Night): the Ultimate Style Guide

This is your ultimate style guide to what to wear in Miami!

I just got back from a trip to Miami (South Beach, Miami) and I just love what a colorful and vibrant city it is!

Plus it’s always warm which makes putting outfits together so much fun!

If you’re planning a trip there here are some going out and casual daytime looks to give you some style inspiration.

What to Wear in Miami: Daytime

  1. Swimsuit cover up – Miami is a beach town so it’s likely that you’ll be swimming in the ocean or a pool at some point each day you’re there (if not the whole time!). Make your day easy and wear your swimwear with a cover up!
  2. Casual dress (shopping, brunch).
  3. Lightweight pants with a crop top.

What to Wear in Miami: Nighttime

  1. Crochet Dress – if you’re going salsa dancing the red one I am wearing is perfect!
  2. A neon skirt or skort set – I paired mine with a lace bodysuit to make the look sexy!
  3. A light weight strapless dress with a bold pattern – I wore one with blue and white swirls (and it’s under $100!).

Do Miami Restaurants and Clubs have Dress codes?

Yes – nearly all of them have dress codes from shoes, to jackets, and more. So make sure you find out the dress code for where you’re going!

As for shoes, purses and accessories: for going out make sure to wear closed toed shoes or heals – no sandals (a lot of places have dress codes).

During the daytime: sandals are perfect: the Schutz ones I have are very comfortable!

Hats are great during the day – try a bucket or panama hat. Small purses for going out at night and light weights tote bags are perfect for the daytime!

Here are three going out looks I wore while there – that are just right for Miami! Many items are under $100!
