Best Boat Trips in Ibiza

Going to Ibiza anytime soon? Well it’s the season to do so as Ibizia is at its peak in the summer months.

I just returned from an amazing trip to Spain where I spent 4 nights on the island of Ibizia and I am already plotting my next trip there.

I have been to Spain several times but never to Ibizia and that was a must do on this trip. The gorgeous Spanish island didn’t disappoint!

There are lots of activities and excursions to do on Ibiza as well as restaurant culture and night life to indulge in. Some of the most prominent DJs in the world take residence there in the summer (David Guetta is there this summer). The night life is a whole other side to Ibiza – which I encourage people to explore.

However, for me, on this trip, I was far more interested in going to the beaches, taking in Ibiza’s old town and going on day excursions to Formentera Island via boat.

I found two great boat trips to take while I was in Ibiza and I highly recommend them to anyone going there.

These are the best boat trips in Ibiza.

Best Boat Trips in Ibiza

The first is a private catamaran for 12 people.

I chose this because I wanted to have a boat day that was a little more private and not crowded – there are huge party boats that are two levels that many people take that look fun. However, I didn’t want to be overcrowded.

I found this boat trip on Viator – it’s an all day trip starting at 10am and ending at about 6pm with two anchor points and a lunch stop.

The catamaran takes you to Formentera Island which is a small island off of Ibizia with teal blue water and it’s stunning. The boat is equipped with SUP paddle boards, snorkeling gear and you can jump on and off at your leisure and enjoy the refreshing sea water.

There is nothing more refreshing and invigorating than a swim in the sea off of Ibiza.

This is an excellent options for something more private and you can enjoy all the amenities the catamaran has to offer. They have a cooler where you can store drinks and food and there is a water taxi to lunch on Formentera if you chose this option. Trip cost: $170.00 – fees may vary so always double check

The second boat trip I took, which I consider one of the best boat trips in Ibizia is called: Salvador Boat Trips: they offer various times for boat trips but the one I took was a sunset cruise which lasted about 4 hours.

There is one anchor point where everyone can use the SUP paddle boards (there are enough for everyone to use at one time) and again the water is perfect for swimming. The vibe on this boat was a little more party but still not crazy. After swimming for awhile – they had appetizers and drinks (included with the boat trip fee) and the whole boat turned into a dance party. Trip cost: $91 – fees may vary, so always check.

I can say that it was one of the most fun times I have had in my life. Pure unbridled joy.

So you’re traveling to Ibizia and you want to explore the beaches and island by boat: these are two of the best boat trips to take while there. I recommend doing both if you have time!
