Try These Options for a Unique Wedding Guest Style

Hello Fall! Anyone going to a fall wedding? In the last few years, I have received more fall wedding invitations than any other season.  This year, I have three between October and November, and as I prepare for what I’ll wear — I thought I’d do you all a favor and get you prepared as well!  You’re welcome!

Fall usually calls for warm colors and tones — almost earthy.  Sometimes, a bright color is in order especially if it’s in September (or depending on the location i.e. somewhere tropical).  A perfect example is what I wore to my cousin’s wedding last fall.

This time of year can also call for sleeves, which is a really meaningful addition to an outfit.  Sleeves add a whole other element of style to a look.  You can go long or short depending on the formal nature of the event as well.  From earthy hues, to a bold sleeve, to an added leather jacket this season gives you plenty of sartorial realm to express yourself!

Wear a mid dress instead of a floor length gown.

At one of my previous jobs, one of the developers asked “what’s a midi?”  These questions always made me laugh as these developers working in fashion were learning the fashion lingo as they go.  Well, Sir, a “midi” refers to the length of the dress — we have mini, ankle length and midi!  Midi means the dress lands mid calf.  This is a great style for fall because you can be somewhere between formal and cocktail and pull off a very elegant look.

Wear a Blazer Dress

Fall Wedding

Hey, if Meghan Markle can wear a pant suit to a royal engagement (I don’t think that I have ever seen Kate Middleton wear pants to a formal — or even semi formal event), I think any of us commoners can pull off a suit to a wedding!

Add a Leather Jacket for a cool look

This is a great accessory for a fall wedding — especially if you chose to go sleeveless.ย  Leather jackets have become much fancier and can certainly dress up an outfit.ย  Or if you’re event happens to be more casual, they can add an element of cool style.ย

Wear a Jumpsuit

So on the topic of suits — a jumpsuit is an extremely fashionable piece to wear to a wedding — fashion forward, unconventional and can be very sexy (not to mention comfortable).ย  You can pair it with a leather jacket also!
