Model Bakery has two locations and one small outpost: the main cafe and bakery is in Napa proper and in St. Helena downtown, while their is a small outpost is in Yountville.
The original Model Bakery is in Napa proper and this a must visit while in Napa – their homemade English muffins are to die for (just ask Oprah) – have them on a sausage, egg and cheese and you’ll be in breakfast heaven!
These breakfast sandwiches have cheese pulls unlike any other! IYKYK.
Another wallet friendly place to eat is in St. Helena go for a quick and casual lunch at Gott’s Roadside, a burger joint that has become a beloved institution among locals and visitors alike.
Housed in a former roadside stand, Gott’s Roadside serves up mouthwatering burgers, crispy fries, and creamy milkshakes.
Another local favorite is the charming Oakville Grocery just off the main highway in Oakville – this is a must stop at some point for delicious meats and cheese, pizzas, sandwiches, coffees and more!
It’s a family-owned establishment that has been serving up delectable provisions to Napa’s residents and visitors for over a century.
This historic market and deli offers a tantalizing array of artisanal goods, from house made charcuterie and gourmet sandwiches to locally sourced produce and an impressive selection of Napa Valley wines.
There is also RH Yountville – a bit more chic the gorgeous ambiance makes it a great place to go any time of day!
A personal favorite of mine is Rutherford Grill – off the highway in Rutherford itself! This restaurant has staples like french dip au jus, a blue cheese wedge and more! It’s a casual and extremely enjoyable experience.
Another French cuisine that is often overlooked because it’s right next to Buochon is Bistro Jeanty – it’s an adorable French cafe in Yountville with indoor and covered outdoor seating – their dishes are flavorful and not to be missed!
Some other great restaurants that fall in between casual and fine dining – are R + D Kitchen – an excellent place for dinner or lunch in Yountville – with TVs for sports watching at the bar and an outdoor area with a fire pit.
Try this chic and trendy restaurant in downtown Napa – Scala – for oysters, seafood and some incredible meat dishes like lamb shank and veal. This is a great option in a busy downtown area!
