If you are from the Bay Area this festival is a no brainer! I, for many years, neglected to go and am sure do regret it! It’s a festival in the heart of Napa – the city itself and it has amazing performers from large to smaller names playing all through Memorial Day.

In contrast to other music festivals like Coachella – it’s much more manageable in size and a older set of people – which is great if you’re past the camping in the dusty desert phase of you life.

Since Bottlerock is based in wine country there is also a heavy focus on amazing and local wine vendors and delicious food – which is what makes this festival so unique.

Tips for purchasing Bottlerock Festival tickets

If you haven’t alreayd bought your tickets – you can still do so via third parties like StubHub or Seat Geek – and there may even be one day festival tickets available directly via the festival website.

Should you buy VIP tickets of General Admission?

Pro tip: buy VIP tickets – the area is separate from GA and you have closer and less crowded access to the stage, better bathrooms, and exclusive food and wine vendors.

If you can swing it – VIP is the way to go. Otherwise general admission is also great and the grounds are massive with a lot to do.

How to Prepare for Bottlerock festival with these essential items

Bags are the biggest issues with these festivals these days – make sure it’s small – they do check the bag size – nothing bigger than a fanny pack. I have been using these amazing clear bags for festivals, football games, and concerts.

You also want make sure to pack some sunscreen, chapstick, water, sunglasses – these will get you through the day!

Food and drink options at Bottlerock Festival:

As mentioned, VIP has some great options like a paella – great portion size! A truffle crab corn dog – wow! There were also tacos, burgers, pizza – all kinds of options.

Insider tips for getting the most out of Bottlerock Festival:

Depeding on where you are staying – the hotels in Napa are wildly expensive and require a three night minimum stay but you can easily take am Uber back to you house if you are within the Bay Area, there are buses that leave from Marin and other parts of the Bay each day and night.

Best advice is gto get there early afternoon and take advantage of the entire day – especially if you are just going going for one day and not staying in Napa.

What to Wear to Bottlerock?

My favorite part – Napa in May is sunny but not necessarily super warm. Midday it will be warm but it will be old once the sun goes down so a jacket of some kind is necessary.

For long days, like these sneakers or flat boots are recommended and the festival is on grass – so even though it pains me to say this: I do not recommend stilettos.

Bottlerock is not as much of a who’s who and what are they wearing as Coachella but there is room for some cute festival outfits! A maxi denim skirt with a off the shoulder top and sneakers would be perfect. A summer dress with a jean or leather jacket also fits the bill. Casual outfits with some style incorporated.
