‘Tis the season for little black dresses for fall!

The seasons are changing and it’s always a good idea to have a few little black dresses in your closet.  I tend to rotate between a few.  

This LBD is my latest acquisition! It’s fitted, scalloped, and cocktail length: everything I love in a LBD.  This dress is your ‘go-to’ day-to-night dress; it’s work appropriate and also fun and sexy to wear out at night.  I decided to look at this dress from two perspectives: one with a belt and the other without.  The dress sans a belt is more sleek and classic.  (This is always an unfailing look.)  The dress with the belt is a little bit country.  I really like them both ways. They each serve a purpose and make it so the LBD can be worn in endless ways.

Side note: the breaking news of Oscar de la Renta’s passing is certainly saddening and heartbreaking for the fashion world.  I had the chance to intern at Oscar de la Renta’s design house and watch him perfect a resort collection (at the helm from start to finish).  I feel so lucky to have had an experience like that.  This career is certainly full of exciting opportunities and that one leaves an indelible mark in my mind.  RIP ODLR.
