Well the last weekend of summer is upon us and it’s quite the double edged sword.  On the one hand we have a three-day weekend to enjoy but you know that come Monday night, summer is officially over (insert sad face emoji).  I personally look forward to this time of year.  September is often considered to be the (unofficial) fourth month of summer.  The weather is perfect: not too hot or too cold, the city is bustling again. New York Fashion Weeks kicks off a month of fashion weeks all over the globe.  College football begins anew.  Wait, what?  Yes, I do enjoy college football.  I used to be quite the fan but these days I just watch a game here and there.    September just makes you feel like anything is possible (think Mary Tyler Moore throwing her hat in the air!).

Anyways, onto my outfit (the important stuff!).  For the last days of summer, I decided to pair this colorful and abstract skirt by Australian designer Bec & Bridge with a textured crop top (which is on sale now!) also by them.  This is a really eye-catching look (just the way I like it!).  To make it even louder, I added the reflective Ray-Ban sunglasses and a pop of color on my lip, neon accessories and a bright blue clutch–better get all my bright colors in now, right?!  Bec & Bridge makes fantastic womenswear pieces that are edgy, feminine, and sexy–I’d suggest checking them out when you’re looking for some party clothes.  If you mix and match their pieces they can certainly be worn in different settings than that, however.

Hope everyone has had a great summer and has plans for Labor Day.  I’m actually in Chicago now for the long weekend–I’ve never been!   So I’m really excited to explore the town.  Any food, shopping, or recreational recommendations?  I’d love to hear them!
