Back in the Big Apple
Hello All! Well, if you’ve been following me on Instagram, you’ll know that I have spent the last 10 days in my home away from home: NYC! I absolutely adore NYC, because I used to live there as a student at Parsons and as a young professional and have so many fond memories there. Every time I go back, it feels so familiar and fun. I always hit up my favorite spots and try some new ones either that I’ve never tried while I lived there or ones that have just popped up since I left! Last time I was in NYC, it was in February and it was freezing; so going this time around was a lot more fun in terms of fashion! I mostly brought dresses, shorts, tanks and sandals and of course left some room for some items I would pick up there-I always go to Barney’s while I’m in NYC, it’s a tradition.
One of my first looks was in this fabulous A.L.C. dress. I love how this dress is one complete look because of the mixed materials. The skirt has a gorgeous pattern and is pleated which provides a lovely contrast to the simplicity of the top. I also adore a dress with a drawstring at the waist because it provides the body with some shape. When you’re traveling, it’s always nice to have a dress, like this one, that you can put on and be done getting ready (aside from accessories). I paired this dress with my beloved summer sandals, and the ever classic 3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli bag.
Stay tuned for more of my NYC looks and pictures!
