I hope everyone enjoyed their Memorial Day weekend and took advantage of the awesome sales that were happening!  In fact some of those sales are still happening, so see my sale guide: here, to get in on them!  Intermix and Net-A-Porter are two retailers that are, for sure, still having great deals!

Don’t you just love a short week?  I am never quite sure what day it is, but as soon as I remember-I get very excited!  HA!  It really is the little things, isn’t it?  Anyways, I had a fun weekend and really tried to make the most of what the Bay Area has to offer.  On Saturday, I visited the farmer’s market in Marin-which was really a treat.  From their fresh produce, flowers, live music and food-it was a lot of fun to get out and enjoy the sunny day.  (If you follow me on Instagram you may have seen some of my real time photos!)

I thought it was appropriate to wear a super casual and lightweight look for a day at the farmer’s market so I threw on a linen top from Joie (see top here) and my new pair of J Brand white jeans. (You’ll begin to notice that I am kind of obsessed with them.)  Typically, when I get a new piece of clothing, that I love-I’ll where it a lot.  Besides loving the style of these jeans, it’s always fun to see how many ways you can style a piece and a pair of white denim is super versatile.  To shade myself from the sun, I wore my cream fedora and added a new twist to my look with some espadrilles!  I actually have had this pair for a few years and it’s pretty remarkable how long they have lasted.  They are the Spanish brand: Castañer, which is fitting for me-since I am half Spanish.  Yep, it’s true.  My mother and her side of the family hail from the Iberian Peninsula.  Twist.  Anyhow, espadrilles are a summer favorite and I suggest you score a pair ASAP.  You’ll wear them all summer and they can certainly be worn in seasons to come.  There are also some great styles for men!  The second part of this post will come later this week-where I will share more images from the farmer’s market itself.
