It’s summer and creams, beiges, and whites are on the menu!

This last picture has recently been featured in the November issue of InStyle Magazine (page 70).  Pick up the latest issue with Taylor Swift on the cover!  My name was erroneously printed as “Tillie Anderson.”

Still being in the throes of Summer (although it’s hard to tell in San Francisco sometimes: 59 degrees and windy is a normal forecast, this is when I miss the NY nights.), I was inspired by whites!  I find myself wearing a lot of white in the summer and it’s generally a complimentary color on me, so I paired a pair of beige hot pants from British brand Reiss (a Kate Middleton fav, but I’ll have you know I have enjoyed the brand long before she made it famous) with a top (can also serve as a blazer) from the J Brand ready-to-wear collection.  I love white colors and they don’t have to disappear when the weather turns cool.

Yes: is the answer to your question!  J Brand does more than design jeans!  They launched a modern and sophisticated collection in 2012 which proved the brands range and showed they were more than just a jean brand. ShopBop and Barney’s NY carry most of their collection and you can find a similar piece to the top/blazer I am wearing in this post.  I’m a fan of wearing white year round (although more so in the summer) so don’t hesitate on a piece just because you think you can’t wear it in the fall or winter. To finish off this look I put on the first pair of Christian Louboutins I ever bought (have been rocking these since 2009!) and my 3.1 Phillip Lim Bag.
