She’s baaaaaaaaaack!  I just concluded my trip on the east coast (DC, NYC, and CT) and it was splendid!  I just moved back from NYC this past October and being back this quickly was such a treat.  Here are a few highlights of my trip plus some of the things that I missed about NY:

1. Iced coffee (it just taste better there!).

2. Sample sales

3. Barney’s NY, Bergdorf Goodman and Henri Bendel. (It’s normal to go to Bergdorf and Bendels twice in five days right?)

4. Meeting new people out and about.

5. Seeing celebrities (albeit some may be C list)

6. Taxi TV.  Ok, so most people turn down the volume when they get into their cab, but I actually see Taxi TV as one of the best attributes of cabs in NY.  How else would I have known that Oprah (in cahoots with Tyler Perry, of course) surprised Kelly & Michael on their daytime TV show?  Or that Sandy Kenyon of Eyewitness news was none too pleased with the latest action movie, After Dark from Will Smith?

7. Bakeries and bodegas on every corner.

8. Getting the weekly magazines on Wednesday (I took a huge set back with this one by moving back to CA.)

9.  Walking around the west village and the meatpacking taking pictures.

And pictures I took, indeed!  The West Village, being my old stomping grounds, was the perfect backdrop for my first shoot in NYC, not to mention the beautiful brownstone homes and cobblestone streets!  I found some great pieces while shopping in Georgetown a couple days before and I decided to showcase them in this post.  The soft linen top with a billowing back paired perfectly with the structured black skirt.  I styled them with my trusty stilettos, my Marc by Marc satchel and the outfit was complete!
