NYC Photo Diary

While in NYC I brunched, shopped, attended a slew of events, met some great people, and saw friends.  It was an amazing trip and aside from capturing my NYC street style, I wanted to share my candid pictures that were taken during various moments of the trip.

As highlighted in my previous posts, I had many fashion week events and adventures and here is a collage of some of those moments starting with Lincoln Center where NYFW lives.  Models at the Marc by Marc Jacobs show.   My former classmate at Parsons and fabulous street style illustrator capturing the street style during NYFW: Martha Napier.  Fashion blogger: Bryan Boy outside the Marchesa show.  Me inside posing under the Marc by Marc show installation.  Me sitting front row at the Tibi show.  Holding my Marc by Marc Jacobs invite over the runway. See my post on the Tibi and Marchesa show here and here.  (Order: top to bottom, left to right.)

Once my fashion week duties were through, I did some of my favorite things in NYC: strolled the Chelsea Markets and made a visit to The Bar at BaubleBar (post coming soon wearing some of these adorable pieces).

“Street style these days will not get you laid and certainly will not get you married!” This exclamation came from fashion genius Zac Posen (far right) as he was interviewed by Kinvara Balfour at the Apple store in Soho during fashion week.  Throughout the entire week, the store held intimate fashion conversations with Kinvara at the helm.  I was able to attend the Marchesa and Zac Posen conversations; each was fascinating and insightful.  To see the Marchesa ladies up close again was very fun and this was my first encounter with Zac Posen and he is quite a gem to listen to: very opinionated and hysterical.  Kinvara is currently developing a fashion docu-series and was asked to bring together various prominent fashion individuals for these conversations; what a great turn out, Kinvara!

Lastly, as always, NYC offers such amazing sights and scenes; just walking the city allows for some great moments. . . I captured a few of my favorite places in the pictures above: view of the city from Brooklyn, Tompkins Square Park with leftover snow, and the Meatpacking District from the Highline.  (Order: Top to bottom, left to right.)

Until next time NYC. . .

All photos were taken by me, except the last two, which were taken by Ava Rant.
