Tips for Decorating
I have some quick tips for decorating during the holidays!
Are you having friends and family over for Christmas or New Years Eve/Day? Well luckily for My Stiletto Life readers, I recently assisted in planning a party (just call me Martha Stewart!) and I came up with some really beautiful and easy center pieces! See below for the photos and then the easy tips for decorating:
These centerpieces were really fun to put together and it made me realize how something really simple can be so lovely. In my last post, I mentioned the best place to get fresh flowers and I used those fresh flowers for these centerpieces. Here are the easy steps to achieving an elegant and snazzy center piece for your holiday festivities.
- Pick the flowers you’d like to use–I prefer roses: they are simple, classic, and romantic.
- Pick a fun and shiny vase for the flowers. In this case, a cylinder in shiny silver was perfect for the over all feel (and contrasted perfectly with the black table clothes). If you’re in a flower district there are a few stores that sell a lot of different options in bulk.
- Next add some simple tea light candles, I chose Votive candles on Amazon, and you can get them fast! If you have Amazon Prime they’ll be to you by Christmas and if you’re decorating for New Year’s Eve you’ll have no problem.
- The last touch is getting some confetti–it always adds some pizazz and I love the way it shines!
There you have it, some very easy steps for achieving a beautiful centerpiece for your holiday decorating. How do you plan on decorating for your holiday festivities–let me know below!
