The Ultimate Guide to Everyday Make up Ideas
I’m sharing everyday make up ideas that will keep you glowing all day long!
These are my go-to beauty products.
1. After applying face lotion (lately I have been using Benefit’s face cream) I start by adding Bobbi Brown concealer.
2. I apply a swipe of YSL’s Touche รclat under each of my eyes. I’ve used this for a long time and it really brightens your eyes-so if you have those dark circles under yours eyes, try this!
3. I apply YSL’s liquid foundation all over my face with the Mac foundation brush (brush #2). This is the best foundation I have used to date, it goes on smoothly, blends well, and looks professional.
4. After I apply my face make-up, I transition to making my cheeks rosy! I have blogged about the Bobbi Brown shimmer brick compact before, and I’ll do it again! It’s a great base for any blush or bronzer.
5. After applying the shimmer brick blush, I have my go-to blush, also by Bobbi Brown in ‘Pale Pink.’ This blush really packs in the color and when applied, brightens up your face. I apply both blushes with brush #3.
6. I recently got this Stila eyeshadow set and it’s a great palette of colors from light to dark and you can get any kind of desired look out of it: daytime-casual, smoky eye, a frosty look: I’ve done them all! Try it yourself.
7. After eyeshadow, comes eyeliner. I apply a fine line of the Mac eyeliner with a Mac eyeliner brush (brush #1). I have used this type of eyeliner for several years and I don’t think I will ever change. You have so much more control when applying with this brush and because of the consistency of the eyeliner. If you’re still using pencil or liquid liner: stop now, and get this Mac eyeliner (see below). It’s consistency is that of liquid mixed with dense powder which has creates better results.
8. I love this YSL mascara; and it’s the last thing I apply to my eyes.
9. I just started using this Benefit brow kit in the last six months or so, and it’s great! The brow powder not only thickens but it also has a consistency that holds the brows. This compact does provide a small brush but I actually like using a longer brush (see brush #4). I usually get my brows waxed about once a month from a Benefit brow bar in SF, so using their brow shadow was perfect. If you’re looking for a brow bar, the Benefit Bar on Geary downtown is a good one.
10. This is my latest lipstick obsession: a YSL coral color. I’ve been gravitating towards this lighter color probably because it has felt like spring everyday here in Nor Cal, but aside from the weather I like the natural look it provides.
There you have it! My beauty routine! Every now and then I switch something up with a bronzer instead of a blush and a different lipstick color depending on the occasion, but generally I am of the thought: if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!
