What to Wear on Thanksgiving for a Female
A caramel chunky sweater for Thanksgiving
Sweaters are an obvious choice for TG. They are cozy, loose fitting (will hide that Thanksgiving food baby), and are very appropriate attire for this time of year. The one I am wearing in this look is off the shoulder, a caramel color — which is part of the color palette for fall and it has a unique look.
A Headband
If you follow fashion trends you probably have noticed that headbands are indeed making a comeback. The one I’m wearing is dark green with a shine to it: all very holiday. Adding a headband in replacement of a necklace is a great way to differentiate your outfit.
A dark wash jean or fancy leggings
A dark wash jean pairs really well with a caramel or brown sweater and it also is the perfect color during the holidays (warmer and darker colors are more on trend that those bright pastels you see in the Spring). You can also dress up a look and be comfortable in a fancy – and might I add: stretchy legging!
Try booties or a decorative open toe shoe
Booties are the obvious choice this time of year as they are chic and keep you warm (especially if you live somewhere super cold!) However, if you are a Californian or live in an area where it’s fairly warm still: you can get away with a decorative open toe shoe.
A Statement Belt
I have to say I wasn’t much of a belt person until I finally treated myself to the holy grail of belts: Gucci! (My break up gift to myself!) A belt, like a headband, can add something extra to your look and really pull it all together.
