The Best Style Guide for a Hawaiian Vacation this March
Thinking of brighten up your March and April with a Hawaiian vacation and this style guide for a Hawaiian vacation?! Well if you’re wondering what to wear – this style guide has you covered.
It seems like a lot of people have Hawaii on their mind these days — probably because the pandemic has made us all want to get out and be in beautiful locations and never take them for granted again – right?! I’d say so!
I spent New Year’s 2021 in Hawaii and after that trip: I told myself I would go there more often (a sort of New Year’s resolution). When I was there: I felt calm, free, and happy. Some feelings that had been missing in my everyday life. This past year I have faced some personal challenges and another Hawaii vacation to reset and create some balance is in order.
So about a year and a half later I am heading back to Waikiki in May! So here are some ideas of what to wear in Hawaii that might help you for your next resort vacation (or hopefully inspire you to take one).
Here is What to Wear in Hawaii in March and April:
This spring and summer season I am seeing a lot of bold and bright colors. Either in a matching set or dress and also a lot of cut out detailing. There are a few pieces that stand out like this Cult Gaia cut out dress and this Norma Kamali dress that literally comes in 10 colors — all perfect for a Hawaiian vacation.
I think basic neutrals are a great aesthetic right now — I just styled a linen wide leg beige pants with a criss cross knit beige crop top and beige sandals and I could tell it was the perfect look for summer and a vacation.
Light and neutral colors never miss a beat when on vacation. Most of my pieces like those come from H & M and the pieces are inexpensive and always stylish.
Matching Sets
The matching set trend is a favorite of mine since last summer. This season I have a couple that I are perfect for a Hawaiian vacation – like this Staud halter top and midi skirt and a cream pant and twist tie top.
Hawaii can also involve some altletic wear with so many outdoor adventures like hiking, beach and more. I always bring along some sneakers, shorts, and cotton t-shirt for a hike or casual outing on the beach.
Of course swimwear is a must for a Hawaiian vacation!
This season I invested in one style of swimsuit in different colors – as they say: if the shoe fits wear it! But in this case it’s the swimsuit…
Other items to wear in Hawaii: sandals, wedges, heals, tote bags and beach bags, sarongs, hats, and sunglasses. Check out my favorite items below!
