The Ultimate Beauty Guide to looking Naturally Bronzed
To match my most recent post “Glowing in Gold,” Β here is some natural gold and tan make-up tips. I wanted my make-up to match the theme of the outfit so I chose a variety of bronzers, and eyeshadows of gold and brown hues. Β
For my cheeks, I chose another Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick Compact.
(If you remember from my earlier piece here, you know I love these.) They are the perfect base for your bronzer or blush, in this case bronzer. This compact is called ‘Apricot’ and is a palette of brown, gold, apricot, and peach tones. After applying that as a base you put on the bronzer which is the color that is going to really show. I chose Nars’ ‘Laguna’ bronzer which is a bold color and gives you that summer glow.
For my eyes, I used a few different shadows to blend together and achieve the look I wanted.
I start by using Nars’ “All About Eve” eyeshadow. This color is a great base for any shadow color story you’re going for. I am also partial to it for its kitsch naming: “All About Eve;” one of my all time favorite movies (if you’ve never seen All About Eve, stop whatever you’re doing now and go watch it!).
Anyhow, I digress, after applying the base shadow I used Chantecaille’s “Rose Gold” as my standout color and then added Elf’s Mineral Shadow “Golden” to the inner corners of my eyes and just underneath them as well to give an extra shine.
To top it off I used a tangerine lipstick that matched the theme perfectly: “Calypso” by Bobbi Brown (also see how I used it here).
