What to wear to a summer wedding?

Some of the warmest months are in August, September and October and I am going on a tropical trip in the latter part of August: first to Miami then to the Dominican Republic (first time – get ready for plenty of IG content)!

So to get my self packed and dressed for summer weddings and vacations; I have been doing what I do best: a lot of online shopping!

I have been scouring the internet to find the perfect light weight and colorful dresses, bathing suits, cover ups and more.

This one shoulder chartreuse silk mid length dress from Karen Millen was the most amazing dress for a summer wedding – I wore it to a wedding in Boston and it could not have been more perfect!

The color, the fit – everything worked!

Do Karen Millen dresses fit true to size?

Yes: I wore the dress in a size 8 which actually had a little wiggle room! So it fits fairly true to size. I’d recommend going with your normal size on this dress.

What shoes to wear with a bright colored dress?

Adding another bright color can be an amazing contrast to another bright – like neon pink and neon yellow. Or you can opt for a more muted colored shoe to not take away from the dresses color!

What bra can you wear with a one shoulder or strapless dress?

Bras are going to be different for everyone but I am a big fan of the sticky cups or the nipple covers for strapless or one shoulder – a strapless bra is also great but can create lines on you backside depending on how it fits and the fabric of the dress so it may show through.
