Hanging with Diet Coke and Brad Goreski

Thanks to Diet Coke’s new campaign: “It’s Mine” featuring Brad Goreski of Fashion Police and Oscar red carpet fashion, I was able to enjoy a fun afternoon of fashion and drinking (my favorite non-alcoholic beverage, of course). ย Diet Coke’s new campaign is focused around creative prints on the bottles and cans to add some fashion and pizazz! ย To showcase the new bottles, they created a pop-up shop and leveraged New York Fashion Week to bring in press, bloggers, and industry people. ย Enter me (duh), since I am a fashion and pop culture authority this was the perfect event for me, plus I got to chat with Brad Goreski about Fashion Police, a favorite show of mine, particularly when Joan Rivers was at the helm.

Diet Coke Pop-Up Shop

The pop-up shop featured snazzy Diet Coke bottles and lots of fashion items like bags, scarves, hats, tops, and more. ย There was also lots of candy, popcorn, cheese, and fresh cold Diet Coke to sip on! ย Not to mention a photo booth!

Brad Goreski: Is it a “GIF” or a “JIF?”

Meeting fashion stylist Brad Goreski was an absolute treat and we even got to create a GIF — and we debated on the actual pronunciation of the little three letter word (can it even been deemed a word?!) ย I stood by my initial pronunciation which is “jif” (like “Jiffy” peanut butter) and he pronounced it “gif” ย (like how you pronounce “gift”). ย After chatting it out with him however, I must say I think he’s right…because that’s how it’s spelled but for some reason I had it stuck in my head the other way. ย Either way, I suggested it as fodder for Fashion Police, let’s see if the topic makes the show!
