5 things to do on Memorial Day Weekend
Every year it seems like I have Memorial Day Weekend blocked on my calendar and, to myself, I say: Oh, I’m going somewhere this year! Well of course life happens and ideas of plans get derailed and all of a sudden you’re in town on MDW: drinking rosΓ©, on your balcony, with your dog (this isn’t autobiographical I swear….insert all teeth no smile emoji). Ok so maybe it’s a little true. I do have a dog, as you know, my new condo has a balcony, and I love rosΓ©…so if you’re some kind of detective: then yes you can deduce that I am talking about myself and my plans for MDW.
In any event, I figured many others often find themselves in the same boat (and to be honest it’s not a bad boat to be in!) so I made a list of 5 Things to do on Memorial Day Weekend!
5 things to do on Memorial Day Weekend when you have no plans!
Catch up on Work
Maybe you have a side hustle and you don’t get to work on it during the busy week? Perhaps, you have a new home and you are decorating it: you can put some time into getting that taken care of on a long weekend.
Find Local Events Happening
Eventbrite, Thrillist and other sites are great resources for events happening locally — find something to do and make a day of it!
Rejuvenate and Shop
Go to the gym, sleep in, do a face mask — all great activities to do when you have time on your hands and never seem to happen during regular weekends! Or go to the local outdoor mall, enjoy some indoor/outdoor shopping and lunch. I know shopping always puts a smile on my face!
Catch up on TV Shows
Game of Thrones anyone? Maybe you didn’t watch the last season — start binging now! Or the new Netflix series: Dead to Me is funny and worth a binge watch (I am currently doing this!).
Get your Brunch On
Make brunch dates with a friend (or go solo) and try a new place in your area: brunch could be a whole day activity!
With that said: what are you doing for Memorial Day Weekend?
