NYC Street Scenes

Hi All!  Pardon the delay in my posting–I have been working on remodeling the website, so my content hasn’t been as frequent, but believe me it will be worth the wait!  In the meantime, I thought I’d share some NYC street scenes from my weekend.  My parents are in town and it has presented us with some fun opportunities to eat in the new restaurants and explore new places.

The weekend began with some lovely cocktails Saturday evening, then continued the next morning at brunch.

I found a Lower East Side gem via Instagram called Dudley’s (see food pics above) and it was seriously delicious.  What you see in the full table picture (from right to left) is a hamburger with fries with an aioli dipping sauce (get extra fries!), avocado toast with an added egg and smoked salmon, a smoked salmon benedict, and last and certainly most delicious: banana pancakes.  The pancakes were a serious treat–they look delicious and they are delicious, you must try those if you head to Dudley’s.  They have a gooey interior and a crispy exterior, which makes for the perfect combination.  All the food was accompanied by some Bloody Mary’s, because what’s brunch without a cocktail (or two)!

After brunch we strolled the Lower East Side and found some colorful street art, which I clearly had to pose in front of.  The whole Lower East Side is like a walking Instagram: every turn presented a photo opportunity, if you’re a traveller or someone who lives in NYC and just hasn’t made it to the LES in awhile, check out this corner.  So much to do, see, and eat!
