Prescription medications can stack up in our medicine cabinets and often there isn’t an obvious or safe way to dispose of them. Luckily San Mateo County’s Safe Medication Disposal Program has an easy solution for you.
This program helps to reduce those unused medications from being flushed down the toilet, poured down the drain, or thrown in the garbage - where there’s a risk they could be used by someone else. The program is completely free to use!
You can easily find a drop off kiosk near you by clicking the link in my stories and searching using your zip code. There are many all over San Mateo County! This is a safe and easy way to dispose of your prescription medications!
