A Snowy Central Park

Snowy Central Park

A Very Royal Snowy Shoot So Prince William and Duchess Kate may have posted the most adorable snow photos yesterday on their royal ski trip -- but little did they know that I had my own photo shoot in a snowy Central Park a few weeks ago.  Albeit, mine were minus 2 (royal) kids, a Prince and much less Duchessy...but I am throwing snowballs and even found some furry friends! Spring has Sprung? Clearly, Spring is on its way so my cold weather attire will soon be stored under my bed and in the back of my closet (can't say I'm too sad about that!) but taking these pictures in a snowy Central Park was the perfect farewell to winter.  Being able to see Central Park in the winter and spring is so inspiring…

Visit Berlin!

So I ended 2015 and started 2016 in Berlin with lots of fireworks and lots of all night shenanigans.  I had been to Berlin 10 years prior when I was studying abroad in Spain and was doing some European travel and it just so happens that I keep visiting Berlin in the winter (not gonna lie--I don't fully recommend visiting in the winter!).  Berlin is so cold--and not cold like oh I need a wool coat, even that won't do.  On my last day there it was 17 degrees (fahrenheit), so yes, it's the kind of cold that you probably wouldn't really be so inclined to leave the house during.  But alas, as a tourist and traveller, I wasn't going to spend the entire vacation inside. Even with its blistery cold days, there still…

Instagram Round-Up: Flowers, Sweets, and Hanukkah!

Manhattan's Flower District Most cities have a flower district and New York City is no exception!  If you're organizing a party or just want fresh flowers for your apartment, nothing can beat a bunch of fresh flowers from Manhattan flower district.  Tucked between Broadway and 6th Ave on 27th and 28th street you can grab some flowers and a coffee around the corner from the newly remodeled Eventi Hotel! Bryant Park Winter Village Bryant Park has a fabulous Winter Village which is sponsored by Bank of America and it has a plethora of shops and food with a huge ice skating rink right in the middle and a grand Christmas Tree adjacent.  I stopped by it last week to stroll and couldn't pass up trying Belgium fries and some churros with chocolate.  YUM!  If…

Marriott Hotel Westminster Palace Buckingham Palace aka The Queen's Crib My last London post--for a little while--is set in the foreground of this spectacular castle, err, I mean hotel, a Marriott London Hotel, that is!  Because in London: hotels look like palaces, as I mentioned in my last London post.  At first glance one would think this is a magnificent castle where Queen Elizabeth II spends her time south of the Thames, but lo and behold it’s just what the Brits call a hotel--you know that place where commoners can rent rooms to sleep for the night?! Standard right?  Well, the Marriott Hotel at the Westminster Palace location is anything but standard.  It's grandiose, luxurious, and majestic. So being that London's hotels look like magnificent palaces it provided a beautiful backdrop for my style shots…

Big Ben London

Big Ben London wearing Forever 21

How fabulous is Big Ben?!  I've seen it in person before this last trip to London, but each time it feels like the first time and it's just as impressive.  Big Ben was an obvious choice to shoot in front of because it's such an iconic London masterpiece and enhances the entire look of the shot.  Big Ben was officially renamed as Elizabeth Clock Tower in 2012 for Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee and apparently it's the second largest clock tower in the world behind...Minneapolis City Hall.  Not sure how many people visit Minneapolis to take pictures!  Who knows, maybe that will be my next stop. On the heels of my trip, I have been thinking a lot about the differences I have noticed between American English and British English and I recently read a…
