Parisian from Head to Toe

I mentioned in one of my earliest blog posts how enamored I am with the Parisian brand: Maje.  I first discovered them in NYC where stand alone stores were popping up all over the city and where they have shop-in-shops at Bloomingdale's.  Word on the street (and by 'street' I mean Twitter), is that there is a store coming to SF?! Anyhow,  I have a handful of their dresses and tops and my affinity for the brand has just continued to grow.  I recently found the piece I'm wearing, in this post, and was immediately intrigued by the dress' concept and design: it's a dress that appears to be a skirt with a tucked in top, but is actually a one-piece!  Another surprise element to this piece are the pockets; pockets always add an…

Turquoise & Pale Pink

What a beautiful day to wake up and smell the flowers!  I recently acquired a stunning pair of turquoise laser cut stilettos and immediately knew what I had to wear them with: pale pink. (It's normal to build your outfit around your shoes, right?)  Well this is 'My Stiletto Life!'  I paired the pumps with my flirty A.L.C dress, a Theory blazer, and a unique necklace I bought in Argentina last year from a jeweler at a street fair.  My outfit was complimented by a sunny day in the park. DETAIL SHOT Admiring my stilettos from above:  I want them in every color! It’s a Stiletto Kind of Day…

On a beautiful Bay Area day it only seemed fitting to head out to Tiburon, CA and stroll the quaint streets and enjoy some fresh seafood.  Tiburon provided the perfect background for my loose fitting silk pants and a breezy white sweater.  And as always I'm equipped with my stilettos and my bright red tote. Essie polish: 'ballet slippers,' with my JewelMint ring. My lovely production assistant slash mom got in front of the camera for a few. One of the adorable stores in Tiburon called Paparazzi.  I got on the other side of the camera for this one! Thoughts: best place for a shrimp cocktail?  Lipstick by Bobbi Brown in 'Calypso.' (A tangerine lip is a must-have for spring.) Here's my answer: a popular establishment among the SF folks! It's a beauty!  Fresh…

Rocker Chic

Wardrobe Essential: a leather jacket.  I didn't have one for a long time and now that I finally do, I know what I've been missing: it's the perfect go to jacket.  Since mine is black it matches with everything and it has style!  So I chose to showcase my DOMA leather jacket with my Helmut Lang cutout skirt (see brunch post for more on this skirt), a white Reiss top, and of course my black stilettos.  I love this outfit because it's where edgy meets classy.  Also, this skirt is very versatile and has already become one of my favorite pieces. It’s Never too Early for White Pants

I understand that many people live by the rule: no white pants before memorial day and after labor day:  meaning summer is the only appropriate time to wear them.  Well I think that rule is rubbish, as the Brits would say, and I'm here to prove it!  It's never too early or late to get a great pair of white pants for anytime of the year.  I recently found a great fitting pair of AG (Adriano Goldschmied) white pants that were the perfect pick for this year.  My previous pair by J Brand had to be retired (they will be missed) but this new pair is not disappointing.  I love a cropped skinny pant so I chose that cut for this pair.  I styled them with a loose fitting Joie sweater, in a soft…
