What to Wear to a Wedding

what to wear to a wedding

Anyone else not always sure what to wear to a wedding?  Well after a few years of not attending any weddings and hence not having to worry about finding something to wear, 2017 came in like a wrecking ball and I had to step up my wedding wardrobe. Since I am a style and fashion blogger (I'm hoping that was clear already since you are currently reading my blog), I always find an excuse to buy a new dress for a special occasion with my inner dialogue going something like this: I can’t wear the same dress with the same group of people or I already posted that dress on Instagram – the latter being of utmost importance, clearly.  So if your internal dialogue is anything like mine and you feel the need to have…

Nobu Malibu

nobu malibu

Nobu Malibu: a Los Angeles hotspot that is known for its frequent visits from the Kardashians, delectable sushi and picturesque views.  Over Labor Day, I visited Los Angeles and on my wish list was to eat and drink at Nobu, which is just what I did.  The fish and rice melt in your mouth and the drinks are perfectly made (and cool you off on a hot day!).  However, Nobu Malibu's ace in the hole is its beachside location because it is an absolute dream.  If you're ever in the area -- I highly recommend getting a reservation for yourself. The perfect unagi and octopus nigiri and a spicy albacore tuna roll. Snapper nigiri and short rip tacos. Yellowtail topped with jalapeño sashimi overlooking the Pacific Ocean (on an unseasonably hot day in LA).…

Summer Recap before Labor Day

San Sebastian

Winter is coming...as they say. (I’m sure all you Game of Thrones fans understand that reference!)  It seems to me that life is actually imitating art because over in NYC we have legitimately entered fall: cool mornings, warm days, and cooler nights.  Even with the cooler evening, I am still holding on to summer by drinking iced coffees (I mean let’s be real this is a year round habit for me), painting my nails white (love a white manicure in the summer), and of course reminiscing about my vacations to Cabo San Lucas and Spain -- all before Labor Day arrives.  So in order for you to hang on to summer with me I’m blogging about my trips below! First Up: Cabo San Lucas I first went to Cabo over Spring break in college circa 2004…

It’s Like Riding a Bike…with Raleigh Bikes

Raleigh Bikes

You know how the old adage goes…it’s like riding a bike, and does that saying sure ring true!  Experiencing the thrill of riding a bike with Raleigh Bikes' freshly debuted and newly stylish “The Superbe” model has never been so sweet! My bike riding skills and days have had a somewhat dubious past and I probably haven’t ridden a bike in about 3 years, maybe more -- full disclosure: I didn’t even learn how to ride a bike until I was perhaps 7 or 8!  (I know crazy but I lived on a hill to be fair!)  So when I received this adorable and stellar bike from Raleigh Bikes, I was a little hesitant to jump right on and start riding, but once I did – you couldn’t get me off the bike --…

Come Face the Wild with Chiara Ferragni and SK-II

Chiara Ferragni

Fashion blogger and celebrity Chiara Ferragni has teamed up with National Geographic and SK-II to take on some of the most rugged places in the world. The beauty that awaits them is not just external but internal as well.  Chiara is putting her skin to the test in this arid desert by using SK-II's Essence Facial Treatment.  SK-II uses a special ingredient called Pitera that helps the skin with its radiance and firmness.  SK- II offers luxurious skin care products that are extremely effective and will help Chiara survive in the arid desert. As a blogger and young professional living and working in New York City, I've faced my own set of wild elements.  Many fondly call NYC "The Concrete Jungle" because you have to push through the challenges of crowds of people, small spaces, humidity, snow,…
