Places to Eat in NYC: Bagatelle

Looking for places to eat in NYC?  Bagatelle is a fabulous option with gourmet food and a chic location and atmosphere. Truffle pizza -- absolutely perfect appetizer for a few people! Delectable beef brisket. Tuna tartare on a crispy potato. Pan seared scallops. Bagatelle's ice cream Sunday is bigger than my face, as you can see (clearly I'm not excited at all). I recently enjoyed a lovely night and a delicious meal courtesy of Bagatelle in the meatpacking district. Bagatelle truly delivered in ever way from the food to the ambiance.  It's a spacious restaurant in NYC's trendy Meatpacking district, think where Samantha lived in Sex and the City and where Ramona Singer and Bethenny  Frankel opted to brunch last season on the Real Housewives of New York City.  Bagatelle is where you go…

The Girl in the Coffee Shop…Happy National Coffee Day!

National Coffee Day

Happy National Coffee Day! It seems we have a national day for just about everything now: burgers, mac 'n cheese, siblings, donuts (one of the better ones!), ice cream, cookies, and the list goes on and on.  I am convinced these "national days" were invented purely as Instagram holidays but I must say: National Coffee Day really does deserve its own day (my love for coffee can be found in this post).  I think most people will admit that coffee is an integral part of their morning.  Am I right? So in honor of National Coffee Day I have a list of some places offering specials! {Photos by Steph Jensen} Best National Coffee Day Deals Birch: For all you NYC people, Birch is offering free drip coffees from 7am to 10am. Wanna Brunch with J. Lo?

Brunch Guide NYC

You may be thinking: what do brunch and J. Lo have in common?  Right.  Well, normally I wouldn't know, but it just so happens that I was out brunching myself last weekend (as I do) at Laconda Verde and spotted (with my quick celebrity eye: seriously I have a gift for spotting celebrities) Ryan Seacrest at a two top.  Initially, I was pretty excited just to see Ryan Seacrest and then as I looked more closely I noticed that he was sitting across from a top knot wearing brunette woman.  Now there is only one diva who slays a top-knot bun like no other: yes, it was indeed J. Lo.  She was dressed exactly as you would think: bodycon dress, hair slicked into a top knot bun and looking flawless.  I was giddy.  Ryan…

NYFW (and Life?!) Survival Guide

NYFW

Surviving NYFW is a tricky task! So, every year, I develop a new plan of attack. In this plan, I include every tip, trick, and tool I might need to hop from show-to-show and party-to-party like a boss. (Wearing: Lovers and Friends Dress, See by Chloe shoes -- since we're moving into fall try these booties, Marc by Marc Jacobs purse.) Flats I’m a stiletto gal, but I always carry a pair of sandals or flats in my purse. They are key for making it through the day without having to amputate a foot! Luckily, fancier flat sandals and flatforms are trending this year, which means one can be fashionable and comfortable (gasp!) at the same time. However, since it’s the best time of the year to show off that expensive pair of Louboutins I’ve never worn—and…

Want to go to Hamptons?

Hamptons

In need a of a Labor Day getaway? Same! Luckily, I'm off to the Hamptons this weekend and it being the last weekend of summer means a weekend filled with pools, cocktails and sand and I'm giving all my recommendations for a weekend getaway there.  Plus, if you think the Hamptons is not within your reach...think again: I have a Hamptons' hack I'm sharing below! The Hamptons is comprised of several different towns all with their own reputation and visitors/residents that frequent them. Some notable parts being: Quogue: anyone remember Ramona Singer from Real Housewives of New York having a fit over having to schlep to a party in Quogue from East Hampton? The audacity! It's classic Housewives and classic Ramona.  Amagansett: if you've seen the movie Something Borrowed with Kate Hudson you'll remember she…
