Big Ben London

Big Ben London wearing Forever 21

How fabulous is Big Ben?!  I've seen it in person before this last trip to London, but each time it feels like the first time and it's just as impressive.  Big Ben was an obvious choice to shoot in front of because it's such an iconic London masterpiece and enhances the entire look of the shot.  Big Ben was officially renamed as Elizabeth Clock Tower in 2012 for Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee and apparently it's the second largest clock tower in the world behind...Minneapolis City Hall.  Not sure how many people visit Minneapolis to take pictures!  Who knows, maybe that will be my next stop. On the heels of my trip, I have been thinking a lot about the differences I have noticed between American English and British English and I recently read a…

Wearing LC Lauren Conrad for Kohl’s

Tillie Adelson My Stiletto Life LC Lauren Conrad for Kohl's

From The Hills to LC Lauren Conrad for Kohl's This is the first time I have shopped a Lauren Conrad item and I have to say, it’s very cute and affordable fashion. From wearing her clothes and seeing how she’s morphed into a lifestyle guru it seems almost surreal. I followed her debut as a reality star on MTV’s The Hills pretty closely, as I am the same age as her and was living in Los Angeles while the show aired.  It didn’t seem plausible that this young girl would someday move away from the reality TV world and leverage her fame as a go-to lifestyle influencer but, I must say, I do really like the brand she’s created from the content on her website, to her Instagram posts, and now to her…

Favorite London Moments

Lauren Conrad Runway Top Kohl's

A Rare Sunny Weekend in London! I'm back from London (sad face) but I am happy to report that I managed to visit London on the rare occasion where there was no rain, plenty of sun and clear skies!  It was a whirlwind of a trip but, luckily, as I mentioned in my previous post, I have been before, so it wasn't crucial for me to see every historic monument/spot London has to offer.  This time it was more for play; I really wanted to experience the city as one would if they were living there. A quick visit to Big Ben and Buckingham Palace. Oh Prince George are you in?  Well the toddler had a previous engagement, so we weren't able to connect on this trip--but I did manage to visit his future…

Whitney Museum

what to do in nyc whitney museum

Have you heard!?  Someone named Whitney just moved into the Meatpacking district in NYC and everyone is flocking to see her...well it's not exactly a she...it's more of an it.  Although, Gertrude Vanderbilt Whitney was a woman who was a great advocate for American artists and took it upon herself to create a space to house the art she wanted to see. So I (and my parents) had to see the latest sensation to enter the meatpacking since Samantha did on Sex and the City.  The Whitney Museum is a fabulous place: it's modern, stylistic, and spacious.  It's more of an all day destination rather than a museum.  Yes, each floor houses American art from different decades, but it seems that most people go for the experience.  The museum is asymmetrical with many levels and balconies…

Looking for the best iced coffee in NYC? Well look no further because I've rounded up the best and my personal favorites NYC has to offer. Let’s talk coffee in NYC.  Iced coffee seems to be more of an accessory these days more than anything else.  Sure it gives me a jolt in the morning—but does it match my outfit?  From branding to style to taste—these coffee shops are raising the bar in the coffee culture and they are all some of my favorite stops in the city. 1.     La Colombe This Philly original…
