A couple of weeks ago I was asked to be a judge for the first ever AOL Beauty Awards and I’m excited to share my favorite products. I sampled some amazing beauty products from Laura Geller, Kat Von D (ya the same one that took Sandra Bullock’s man!), Smashbox, Benefit Cosmetics, Marc Jacobs and more.  AOL couldn’t have rounded up better items: all of them provided great coverage, color, and shimmer.  I created my look (seen below) with some of the product from the contest and I am breaking down my look, my favorite products, AOL’s Beauty Award winners and more!

Step 1: Primer: I used Colorescience primer as the first step in putting on my face make-up: it evens out the skin so that the foundation goes on smoothly.

Step 2: I then used Bobbi Brown concealer and Bobbi Brown Intensive Skin Serum for my face make-up.  The liquid foundation by Bobbi Brown is absolutely amazing.  It’s easy to apply and feels almost like a cream on your skin.  I always use Laura Merceir loose setting powder to top it off.

Step: 3 Blush: For blush I used two Bobbi Brown products.  The first is the Shimmer Brick Compact and the second is Bobbi Brown in “Pale Pink”–the combination always creates a bright look.

Step 4: My eyes: I used Laura Geller’s “Delectables” palette.  This palette exceeded my expectations, it’s so versatile and you can create any eye you would like with this palette–it’s absolutely worth a buy!  For this look, I created a green-ish eye with some golden hues.  I then lined my eyes with Benefit’s Realsies push-up eye liner in dark green (a welcomed and seductive change from black).  Benefit Cosmetics also makes this eyeliner in black, which is the better option for everyday (I have both).  This eyeliner was one of the products I was asked to try for the AOL Beauty Awards but since I have used it before, I was partial.  I will say though, partial or not, it’s a fantastic product that you should be using in your beauty routine.  It has a thick consistency that goes on smooth and really sticks! (If you happen to fall sleep with your make-up on–opps!, you will most likely have some leftover for the next day!)

Step 5: The lips!  This is also a Laura Geller beauty product, which I was able to try for the first time thanks to AOL Beauty Awards and I am now a fan for life.  This was the perfect red lipstick.  It had great consistency, a bold hue and stayed on all night!  I loved the combination with the smoky green and golden eye.
