Jennie Garth and Hubby Split!

Jennie Garth, Kelly from 90210 (if you don’t know who she is: I’m annoyed), is splitting from husband Peter Facinelli, most recently known for his part in the Twilight saga, but more importantly known for playing the douche-bag jock in the 90’s classic ‘Can’t Hardly Wait.’  To alleviate my sadness of this news, I have put together a list of Kelly’s 10 best slash most ridiculous 90210 moments (in chronological order).

1. Kelly’s mom being on drugs during the school fashion show and David Silver getting it all on tape.

This is the first time that we saw Kelly’s character do more than talk about shopping, boys, and partying. Although, for Kelly’s character, those are all fair subjects. Here she had some depth and even somewhat befriended Andrea.

2 Kelly stealing Dylan from Brenda (still hurts)

This was the love triangle heard ’round the world!  DRAMA!  While Brenda was off in Paris, Kelly and Dylan had their fun in the sun and sand.  Kelly was all sad and mopey when Brenda came back and she had to resume her role as Brenda’s sidekick.

3. Kelly over dosing on over the counter diet pills on her 18th bday.

As if Kelly’s character wasn’t bitchy enough we had to endure her mood swings caused by her diet pills. She was paranoid and didn’t realize everyone was planning her 18th bday party and later, at the party, Brenda discovered her on the floor of the Peach Pit bathroom.

4. The Fire.  She was caught in the fire while Brandon was hooking up with Emily Valentine.

OMG. This fire was out of control. Had I known that we would have to endure Kelly’s emotional and physical suffering for the next several episodes I would never have agreed to this storyline. The best part was that Brandon was having a fling with Emily, his high school girlfriend.  That was saucy.   I love when Brandon is a bad boy; his one vice really is woman.   In all other categories he’s extremely straight edge.

5. Cult Classic-yup Kelly was in a cult, that was really weird and funny to watch.

The cult was part of the aftermath of the fire.  The creepy Professor Finely and his ‘new evolution’ coerced Kelly (not hard to do) in their cult.   She broke up with Brandon for the cult and even began seeing Dylan again (for his money). Brandon and Dylan devised a plan to  rescue her and Kelly resumed her life, pre-cult.

6. ‘I choose me.’ Her infamous answer to Brandon and Dylan when they both propositioned her, one with an engagement ring and the other with a trip around the world (respectively).

So let’s just try and figure this out: Brandon asked Kelly to marry him and Dylan invited her to a trip around the world. I never really understood why they were fighting over her in the first place, but so be it. Either way it was totally ridiculous that she chose herself because she clearly didn’t choose herself, she chose the bad boy artist from NY. I am happy though because the next season lead Brandon and Dylan to new love interests who were far more interesting than Kelly.

7. Her cocaine addiction with NY artist boy Colin.

Kelly on drugs is pretty funny to watch. She’s a bad girl! However she did spin out of control and of course landed herself in rehab admitting to Brandon that she still loved him.  What a train wreck!

8. When that chick from rehab, Tara, went all ‘Single White Female’ on Kelly. She tried to perform a double suicide.

Tara was a real creeper and it’s still unclear as to why Kelly befriended her. Who invites their weird rehab friend out with all your rich Beverly Hills friends? Kelly get with the program.

9. Amnesia, yes she was shot and then woke up with amnesia and did not remember Brandon was her boyfriend.

This was in the period of the show when she was preggos with her first child in real life and was strictly wearing button up sundresses. The look was tiring and so was the amnesia story line. Although she started crushing on Noah, they new boy, which was an unexpected twist.

10. Kelly was raped. Then she killed the man she raped. Oy Vey.

Things were real serious with this story line and fairly outlandish if you ask me. This also was nearing the end of the entire series so they were kind of hurting for story lines. Either way it only lengthened the list of ridiculous things that have happened to Kelly.

Those are my top 10 moments…What’s your favorite Kelly moment?? Share!

    I mean…
Not to mention the fact that she goes from being the popular, quintessential California girl to be a self-righteous victim all the time. (OK, she was always self-righteous) But seriously, Kelly was best when she owned up to the fact that she is a bitchy blond who loves to shop, manipulate boys, and put other people down. When she starts to have “depth” is when it really gets ridiculous. And yea, Dylan and Brandon fight over her for a decade and she still can’t get it right?! Get it together Kell. But you know she just could never chose b/c then she would stop being the center of the Bev Hill universe.

I will NEVER forgive her for what she did to Brenda.

Is it weird that I remember ALL of those?!? I hated her when she broke up Brenda and Dylan.

Why does Jennie Garth look completely different from when she was on What I Like About You?
